Hi All,
This is advice regarding the National Capital
Rally which is being held on Friday 28th Feb - Sunday 2nd
March.
This event is the first round of the Australian
Rally Championship for 2014 and will be run in a similar fashion and area's as
last year..
Friday 28th February is a
single "Power Stage" being run at Bluetts, this is a form of "top 10 shootout"
and will form part of the TV Coverage, etc. We will need to support this
part of the event with a Start & Stop operator in the field along with a
"Mini HQ" at Stromlo Forest Park.
Saturday 1st March will have 4
stages (each run twice) in the Tidbinbilla, Laurel Camp, East West and Bluetts
area's, and
Sunday 2nd March will see 3 stages
(each run twice) in Kowen plus Bluetts again at around lunchtime.
HQ will be at the Rydges Lakeside (London Circuit
Acton) and we will need 8 people rostered across
each of Saturday & Sunday.
The rally will be run as follows, noting that this
year each of the stages has a naming sponsor hence the following 'names' and
location info....

HQ will need to be manned Saturday between 0530
& 1900 with evening travellers net being done remotely, and Sunday between
0500 & 1630 with evening travellers net being done remotely.
There will be an "after party" held at Rydges
Lakeside on Sunday evening which you are encouraged to attend, details yet to be
confirmed.

event will have Classic Rally cars, Australian Rally Championship cars, 4WD
National Championship cars, and ACT/NSW state cars. Please DO NOT complete the
Volunteers Application of the website as we will send you an email asking
for the appropriate information and then add in the 'assignment' for you before
passing to the Volunteer Coordinator.
