We are approaching the next WICEN exercise in
just under 4 weeks time, so we need to see who is available.
This event is a horse endurance event held around
Brookvale in the northern Bridabella's.
The main ride is currently scheduled to set
off at 6:00 AM and we need to have our 2 operators for that leg away in
front of the riders, so it will probably be about a 0500 start for some of
us.
Requirements are as follows.....
Seven checkpoints (although this may reduce if one leg is re-run which I
am told is a possibility, stand by for further information when we receive it)
with the requirement for at least one operator per check point. HQ needs a couple of people, radio's to be manned from about
5:00 AM until close (expected to be at about 4:00 pm). At this point we don't
have firm indications of timings, but this information will be provided as
soon as we get it.
Repeater(s) to be set-up on Pig Hill on the
Saturday, retrieved Sunday afternoon - we will need a crew of 3 for
this.
Campsite will be provided for us, bring your own
meals (a BBQ will be available to cook up your food).

on holidays until the end of the month, so please reply to both Phil (his
email address is cc'd to this email for those who cannot remember it) and
myself so we can ensure we capture all indications of interest.
